Juley Stragand, Research Specialist

     Ms. Stragand, M.P.H., has over ten years of research experience in epidemiological studies in the Department of Epidemiology, Graduate School of Public Health. She has acted as a project director for numerous epidemiologic studies in the Epidemiology Department including the overall coordination of “The City of Hazleton Health Effects Study”, a retrospective cohort epidemiologic environmental research study, the Heptachlor Cancer Registry Study and the Breast Artery Calcification in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (BAC-PCOS) Study.

     She also was actively involved with the Risk of CHD in PCOS Study for ten years and was one of the original research assistants and recruiters on this project. Ms. Stragand is currently participating in the Program, Marketing and Outreach (PMO) workgroup. She also contributes to the writing of the quarterly and annual progress reports.
